Magical Mundane Moments

I look up from my computer screen at the 4 souls I love the most.

Two of them, the human two, are mesmerized by the images displayed by the idiot box coaxing them to purchase and consume, consume and purchase.

The other two, my canine sons, lie sprawled on their beds enjoying the comfort of full tummies, satiated into oblivion.

I smile to myself at the love I feel for these 4 souls. I watch their expressions tell their individual stories that fill my heart with joy. I listen to their chatter and snores and am grateful for the chance to share this time that I will never again have - Well not this exact moment.

I will not trade this mundane moment for anything.
